This temple is located near the Nalanda University ruins.

The locals refer to it as Teliya Bhairava Temple.

Teliya refers to the use of oil as a protective coating.

This temple houses an ancient large black Buddha image in Bhumispara Mudra.

This temple was also described by Cunningham as Baitak Bhairava in his 1861-62 report.

According to the report, the Buddha image was still revered by the locals.
